Winnie Coffee, longtime friend and benefactor of Abilene Christian University, died Monday at her home in Dallas, just six weeks before reaching her 100th birthday.
Services will be at the Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m.
Coffee was the wife of former ACU trustee Roy C. Coffee, and both a scholarship fund and the communication hall of the Don H. Morris Center are named in their honor.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Coffee of Austin and Roy Coffee Jr. of Dallas; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Coffee Sr., and her four brothers.
The family has requested memorials be made to the Roy C. and Winnie Coffee Scholarship Fund at ACU.
