Abilene Christian University's Homecoming 2002 featured several competitions, such as a building decorating contest, a parade float competition and the competition for this year's Homecoming queen.
Lindsey Cole, senior elementary education major from Westminster, Colo., was named Homecoming Queen for 2002.
Saturday's parade included a competition for best women's social club float, best men's social club float, best float from other organizations and best overall float.
The women of Sigma Theta Chi won the women's social club category; the men of Gamma Sigma Phi won the men's social club category; Aggie Club won in the category of other organizations; and the women of Sigma Theta Chi won for best overall float.
Throughout the week, buildings on campus were decorated for Homecoming and were judged Friday in two categories: best academic building and best residence hall.
The Hardin Administration Building won first place in this year's contest for best academic building decorations, and Gardner Hall won first in the residence hall category.
