The nine reunion classes of Abilene Christian University's Homecoming 2002 announced the results of the friendly competition for both total dollars given and participation percentage in Homecoming Chapel Saturday.
The class of 1977, headed by gift chair Jeff Knight of Bentonville, Ark., won
the total dollars raised portion by giving $55,053.
The class of 1957, under gift chair Buddy Beck of Mesquite, won the participation percentage competition, with 41.2% of their class contributing.
This year's reunion classes raised a total of $303,310, an increase over last year's total of $278,051.
The classes of 1997, 1992, 1987, 1982, 1977, 1972, 1967, 1962 and 1957 each had committees to assist the Alumni Association in raising money
for the ACU Annual Fund.
Fortunately, the 2002 Reunion Campaigns do not end until December 31, and contributions will be accepted until then. Gifts may be mailed to
