Hudson Duo to perform at ACU

The Hudson Piano Duo will be giving a performance in Roxie Neal Recital Hall of the Burford Music Center at Abilene Christian University Saturday at 8 p.m.

Dr. Andrew Hudson and Dr. Terry Lynn Hudson will be collaborating on works by Mozart, Ravel, Bach and Stella Sung. The concert is free and open to the general public.

Both performers have earned a master of music degree from the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music and doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. They have also traveled domestically and internationally to exhibitions and to compete individually as well as collaboratively.

Dr. Andrew Hudson has served as the pianist for the Waco Lyric Opera for the past three years, and is currently on the piano faculty at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. He has also presented lecture recitals at musical festivals, symposiums and at the South Central Regional Conference of the College Music Society.

Dr. Terry Lynn Hudson is an active member in the academic forum of piano performers. She has spoken at state, regional and national conferences of the CMS and Music Teachers National Association, and serves as the secretary of the South Central Region of the CMS and of the Baylor chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honors Society. She is a member of the faculty at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and teaches applied and class piano.

The Hudson duo was invited especially to ACU by Dr. Gustavo Tolosa, assistant professor of music, for the recital and will be performing the same program at Baylor later on this year.
