The theme for this year's Follies is "Super Heroes." Phyllis Wilson, director of student productions, said the theme reflects a light, fun topic as well as a deeper meaning.

"To me, the battle between good and evil is what super hero-ing is really about," Wilson said in her director's notes. "Follies 2002 will take us on the journey from utter darkness through the shadows into the light, from a place where evil and chaos reign to an eternal reign of the soul."

Freshmen Follies is a long-standing ACU tradition for freshmen and transfer students. It is always a highlight of the fall semester where friendships are made behind the scenes and talents can be put on display for friends and family. Approximately 2,500 parents, friends and family will be visiting Abilene for the Freshman Follies performances.
