Abilene Christian University students will be participating in the Service Expo, sponsored by ACU's Volunteer and Service-Learning Center, Tuesday and Thursday as an opportunity to learn more about various community agencies.
"We want to show them ways they can serve and make a difference right here, right now," said Nancy Coburn, director of the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center.
Tuesday and Thursday of next week from 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the ACU campus center, various Abilene organizations and agencies will have booths for students to visit and find out more about service opportunities.
"The Service Expo is an opportunity for the community to come to campus and share their service and volunteer opportunities," Coburn said.
ACU's Volunteer and Service-Learning Center coordinates student community service and volunteer efforts by compiling and showcasing available service opportunities, organizing group efforts when needed and providing documentation for students to record their service throughout their college career.
