Food, art and conversation - now all conveniently located in the Biblical Studies building on the Abilene Christian University campus.
On Sept. 3, at 10:30 a.m., the Fatted Café will celebrate its grand opening in the Biblical Studies Building at ACU.
The Fatted Café is designed to provide faculty and students with a place for community, bonding and relationships.
"The café should be a place where people can express themselves in a variety of ways, a place to have fun, a place to relax and be with friends," said Dr. Jack Reese, dean of the College of Biblical Studies.
The grand opening will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will include door prizes, games and free samples, as well as student artwork on display.
"Having art works displayed in the café not only provides art students an opportunity to have their works exhibited, but it allows people all over campus to talk about the art, to say what they like and don't like," Reese said.
Hours of operation for the café will be open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the menu will include coffee, soft drinks, fresh fruit, pastries, sandwiches and soup.
