Faulkner University honors ACU graduate/former faculty For Immediate Release Oct. 27, 1999 Helen Bowman Kearley of Corsicana, Texas, was awarded Faulkner University's alumnus of the year at its Annual Benefit Dinner on October 5, 1999. She graduated from Faulkner in 1957, then earned a BBA degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University where she later taught accounting from 1978-81. Faulkner's Alumnus of the Year Award is presented to a Faulkner alumnus whose demonstrated life is consistent with the mission of Faulkner University and who has distinguished herself in her field of service.
