ACU Choral Society announces release of recording For Immediate Release Oct. 27, 1999 The Abilene Christian University Choral Society recently released the ACU Alumni Reunion Chorus' sixth recording, "With Love From a Chorus." The Alumni Reunion Chorus, composed of 161 choral alumni, under the direction of Dr. Jack Boyd, made the recording this past August in Dallas. This recording features love songs varying in styles ranging from show music to jazz, pop and country. "This Choral Alumni VI recording is by far the most musical collection we've produced," Boyd said. "'With Love From a Chorus' is one of those CDs we will go back to again and again over the years." The ACU Choral Society has released five previous recordings by the Alumni Reunion Chorus, beginning in 1989. The Society also has sponsored "Great Hymns of Faith," featuring Dr. Charles Nelson and the ACU Choral Society Festival Singers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all these recordings fund scholarships for ACU music students "With Love From a Chorus" is available on CD or cassette tape.
