ACU President Dr. Royce Money cited for leadership in encouraging character development For Immediate Release Oct. 18, 1999 Abilene Christian University President Dr. Royce Money is among only 50 college and university presidents recognized for their outstanding leadership in the field of student character development in The Templeton Guide: Colleges that Encourage Character Development, a guidebook released nationwide. Designed for students, parents and educators who believe that character matters, The Templeton Guide contains profiles of 405 exemplary college programs in 10 categories; 50 college presidents who have exercised leadership in character development; and 100 colleges and universities named to the Templeton Honor Roll for their comprehensive commitment and programs that inspire students to lead ethical and civic-minded lives. Since becoming president in 1991, Dr. Money's mission for ACU is to transform student character in the likeness of Jesus' character to help them become visionary leaders of integrity.
