Money returns to Lake Jackson For Immediate Release September 1, 1999 Lake Jackson (Texas) Church of Christ knew Dr. Money before he was Dr. Money. As a student at Abilene Christian University in the 1960s, Dr. Royce Money, ACU president, served as a youth ministry intern at Lake Jackson Church of Christ 35 years ago. Now he will return as the featured speaker at "ACU Sunday." On Oct. 3, Lake Jackson Church of Christ will be having what they are calling ACU Sunday, where Money will speak and His Singers, an ACU singing group, will perform, followed by a pot luck lunch. "I have a special place in my heart for this church," Money said. "I will always be grateful for the opportunities offered to me and the people I met at Lake Jackson."
