ACU students accepted to schools in medical field

This year 27 Abilene Christian University students have
been accepted to health professional schools across the
United States and in Mexico. The following is a list of the
students and the schools they chose:
In the medical field, Matt Bower and Robert Clark of
Abilene and Taylor Tidmore of Amarillo will attend the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas;
Scott Carpenter of Wichita Falls will attend the University
of Heath Sciences and Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines,
Iowa; Dave Fuller of San Antonio will attend the University
of Texas Medical School at San Antonio; Melissa Gibbs of
Escondido, Calif., will attend Vanderbilt University School
of Medicine; Jackson Griggs of Abilene will attend the
University of Texas College of Medicine at Houston; Kenny
Henry of Dallas will attend the University of Texas Medical
Branch at Galveston; Amy Gross of Lake Oswego, Ore., will
attend Western University of the Health Sciences School of
Osteopathic in Pomono, Calif.; Prashant Krishnan of New
Orleans will attend Louisiana State University School of
Medicine in New Orleans; Matthew Moreland of Lubbock and
Matt Thompson of Euless will attend the University of North
Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic
Medicine; Brain Nelson of Bangs will attend the Universidad
Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mex.; Paul Pasarilla of DeSoto will
attend Texas A&M University System Health Science Center
College of Medicine; Carey Sharp of Abilene will attend
Baylor College of Medicine; and Jonathan Watson of Elmore,
Ohio, will attend Case Western Reserve University School of
Medicine.
In the optometry field, Lisa Davis Whitman of Abilene
will attend the University of Houston School of
Optometry.
In the pharmaceutical field, Michelle Boatwright of
Abbott will attend Texas Tech University Health Sciences
Center School of Pharmacy; and Scott Hawkins of Rowlett will
attend the University of Texas School of Pharmacy.
For physician assistant school, Melinda Armstrong of
Abilene will attend the University of Texas Medical Branch
at Galveston.
In the physical therapy field, Janis Bryant of
Lawrenceville, Ga., will attend Texas Woman's University;
Ethan Clark of Diana will attend Chatham College of
Pittsburgh; Donald Newton of Hamilton will attend
Hardin-Simmons University; and Jamie Richardson of Arlington
will attend Texas Tech University Health Sciences
Center.
In veterinary medicine field, Susan Bates of El Dorado,
Ark., will attend Louisiana State University School of
Veterinary Medicine; and Danel Yowell King of Reydon, Okla.,
will attend Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary
Medicine.
Also accepted to medical school in his junior year was
Jonathan Mock of Denver City who will attend Texas Tech
University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine when he
graduates in May 2000.
