Registration has begun for Abilene Christian University's
Math Counts Camp.
The camp is open to all sixth-eighth graders and is
sponsored by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
Math Counts Camp '99 is designed to enhance math skills in a
fun atmosphere.
The two sessions of camp are slated for June 14-18 and
June 21-25. Each session costs $40 and will run Monday
through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch at ACU's World
Famous Bean is included in the price of the session.
Some of the activities planned include design technology
projects with University of Texas engineers, math
competitions, computer skill enhancement and building and
racing solar cars. Leslie Koske, co-director of the camp,
says the students will learn in a hands-on environment
through planned activities.
