ACU to participate in National Collegiate Alcohol
Screening Day
For immediate release
April 2, 1999
The Abilene Christian University Counseling and Health
Center will serve as host for the National Collegiate
Alcohol Screening Day Thursday, April 8, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
in the Hilton Room of McGlothlin Campus Center.
Anyone interested, students in particular, can visit the
Hilton Room, pick up educational materials about substance
abuse, watch interesting videos, fill out the alcohol
screening inventory, and talk to community substance abuse
education and treatment agency representatives.
The screening and information is free. Dr. Steve
Allison, who works with ACU's Counseling and Health Center,
said "All it takes is a little bit of your time to maybe
save a life of a friend or loved one who may be chemically
dependent."
