Knight Kiplinger to speak at annual Economic Outlook Conference

Knight Kiplinger, one of the nation's most respected economic journalists, will put the economic outlook for Abilene, Taylor County and the nation into perspective for 2002 and the next few years at the 2002 Economic Outlook Conference at Abilene Christian University.
The conference luncheon will take place at ACU's Teague Special Events Center Jan. 22. from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Center for Building Community at 915-674-2156.
Kiplinger is editor-in-chief of The Kiplinger Letter, Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine and KiplingerForecasts.com.
For 13 years, Kiplinger worked in newspaper journalism as a Washington correspondent and editor. He served as Washington bureau chief for Ottaway Newspapers, Inc., a chain of 22 daily papers owned by Dow Jones & Company, for six years.
Kiplinger has also co-authored two best-selling forecast books, including his most recent book, published in 1998, World Boom Ahead.
Kiplinger has been a frequent guest on CNN and CNBC and has appeared on "Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser," "The Today Show," "CBS This Morning" and "The Larry King Show." He is also a regular commentator on "Marketplace," the daily business report heard on public radio stations nationwide.
A graduate of Cornell University, Kiplinger did graduate study in international affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University.
