ACU professor named president-elect of pre-law advisors association

Dr. Mel Hailey, professor of political science at Abilene Christian University, was elected president-elect of the Southwest Association of Pre-law Advisors at its conference in Houston last weekend.

The position of president-elect was created this year by an amendment to the constitution of SWAPLA. The president-elect will be the SWAPLA designated member to the Pre-law Advisors National Council.

Hailey, chair of ACU's department of political science, will serve a two year term as president-elect of SWAPLA, beginning Jan. 1.
