ACU listed in America's 100 Best College Buys for sixth straight year

Abilene Christian University has been named one of "America's 100 Best College Buys" for the sixth straight year, making it one of the few private universities in the nation to receive this honor. In addition, ACU was named as one of "America's Best Christian Colleges," making it one of only 26 schools in the nation to be included in both.
Both honors are determined by the independent organization Institutional Research and Evaluation, Inc.
ACU has been included in "America's 100 Best College Buys" since its inception, said Lewis T. Lindsey Jr., president of the research organization.
ACU was one of only seven Texas universities listed in the report. Other Texas schools were Baylor University, LeTourneau University, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Dallas.
Schools listed among "America's 100 Best College Buys" must provide "the highest quality in education at the lowest cost," according to the report.
ACU was also one of seven listed in "America's Best Christian Colleges." ACU has been included in this report since its inception as well. Other Texas schools listed in this report are Baylor University, Dallas Baptist University, Houston Baptist University, LeTourneau University, Lubbock Christian University and Southern Methodist University.

Only 26 schools in the nation were included in both "America's 100 Best College Buys" and "America's Best Christian Colleges"
Institutional Research and Evaluation, Inc. is an independent research and consulting organization specializing in the recruiting and retention of students for institutions of higher education. No college or university pays to be included in their reports, Lindsey said. Institutions are included solely on the basis of merit.
