ACU Campus Store offers patriotic merchandise, donates to Red Cross

For immediate release

Abilene Christian University's Campus Store will be contributing to the American Red Cross and encouraging patriotism with its new line of merchandise.

The Campus Store is selling T-shirts in two different styles, both of which include ACU and USA symbols, and a patriotic car decal. For each of these items sold, money will be going to the local chapter of the American Red Cross.

The Campus Store will donate $2 for every decal sold, and $3.25 for every T-shirt. These items are located on the first front table inside the store and are designated with special signage.

The purpose is not to make money off these products, but to contribute, said Anthony Williams, manager of retail operations.

"After the donation is taken out the decals are basically being sold at cost," Williams said. "T-shirts have been marked up slightly to offset the possibility of future markdowns. We just want to help in whatever way we can."
