Tickets currently are on sale to the public at ACU's Moody Coliseum ticket window. The ticket window is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. For ticket availability or other information, call 674-2648.
The theme for this year's Follies is "Survivor." Phyllis Wilson, director of the show, said the theme was intended to be a spoof on CBS's reality show Survivor. However, in view of the recent events, the theme has taken on a deeper meaning.
"On Tuesday, September 11, the word "Survivor" took on a much more grave meaning, one that our country has not dealt with since WWII and never in this heartbreaking magnitude," Wilson said in her director's notes. "But through the horror of this tragedy we have watched a miracle unfolding: people calling God's name for help when their human strength failed; friends forgetting petty differences and working together again; strangers' eyes meeting in a common understanding of circumstances; children and teachers praying in classrooms; people helping each other; and examples of patriotism and prayer by our nation's leaders that we have not witnessed in our country for years."
Freshmen Follies is a long-standing ACU tradition for freshmen and transfer students. It is always a highlight of the fall semester where friendships are made behind the scenes and talents can be put on display for friends and family.
