ACU College of Biblical Studies to present Lectures on Preaching

Abilene Christian University will sponsor the 2001 Lectures on Preaching Thursday, Sept. 20 in the Biblical Studies Building.
The lectures are organized each year by the College of Biblical Studies to encourage local ministers and preachers and show appreciation for their dedication.
"We want to reach out to ministers preaching day after day, year after year," said Lisa Murphy, administrative assistant in the Ministry Events Office and coordinator of this year's lectures.
Speakers will include Dr. David Fleer, a professor of religion and communication at Rochester College in Michigan, and Dr. Prentice and Barbara Meador, a Dallas couple who has spoken all over the world encouraging Christian service.
A Tribute Luncheon for longtime preachers Eldred Echols of Ft. Worth and Juan Villa of Abilene also will be included during the lectures. The luncheon will take place in the Hilton Room of the Campus Center from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Ministers, preachers and other church leaders are encouraged to attend the lectures, which will run from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
