About 230 people attended Celebration 2001, a conference in Dallas July 19-21 on Christian higher education in Churches of Christ.
There are 19 colleges and universities related to Churches of Christ with regional accreditation in Texas, Oregon, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, West Virginia, Oklahoma, California, Michigan and Nebraska.
The conference was a historic gathering of Christian faculty, staff and administrators. Speakers addressed topics designed to celebrate past achievements, address current efforts to integrate learning and faith in the curriculum and co-curriculum, and examine future opportunities and challenges.
