Council for Advancement and Support of Education honors ACU work

Abilene Christian University's Office of Marketing and Public Relations recently won seven awards, including two first place Grand Awards, in the 2001 District IV competition for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

District IV of CASE includes colleges and universities of all sizes in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Mexico. CASE conducts annual juried competition of entries from higher education professionals in communications, public relations, marketing, development and alumni relations.

Among the winners:

  • "Change the World Ad Series," first place in print advertising projects
  • "Traditions! - ACU Today," first place in cover design
  • "Study Abroad Ad Series," second place in print advertising projects
  • "ACU Today," third place in magazines (one- to three-colors)
  • "Sing Song," third place in candid color photography (by Gerald Ewing)
  • "Traditions! - ACU Today," fourth place in digital or computer-enhanced images
  • "Texas Sports Dynasty of the Year," fourth place in posters

ACU has won the first place Grand Award in print advertising two of the past three years, and "ACU Today" magazine has won CASE awards four of the past five and six of the past eight years.
