ACU students prepare to serve community

The second-annual ACU for Abilene service day is scheduled for Saturday, April 21.
More than 500 students, faculty, staff and alumni are expected to participate at more than 30 different sites around Abilene.
The day begins at 9 a.m. with a 30-minute kick-off. All participants will meet together for a brief devotional.
Participants will volunteer with a variety of different locations and events, such as the Special Olympics, Celebrate Abilene, Adult Protective Services and the Boys and Girls Club.
Last year, the first year for ACU for Abilene, more than 350 people in the ACU family volunteered.
Registration for students, faculty, staff and alumni will begin Wednesday, April 11. To register, call the Volunteer and Service Learning Center or sign up in the Campus Center on the ACU campus.
