
Twenty-four elementary/middle school students to compete in spelling bee at ACU
For Immediate Release March 23, 2001 For more information contact: Twenty-four elementary and middle school will compete in the Taylor County Spelling Bee Saturday at 10 a.m in the Hilton Room on the campus of Abilene Christuan University. This annual spelling bee is sponsored by Abilene Christian University and the Abilene Reporter-News. The champion will advance to the national Scripps-Howard spelling bee in Washington, D.C., at the end of May, and will receive a $100 savings bond and Webster's Third New International Dictionary.
