
ACU students to apply for congressional internship
For Immediate Release Dec. 1, 2000 Contact: Tom Craig, Director of Media and Community Relations Applications are now available for students to apply for a congressional internship program. The Omar Burleson Internship Program allows college students to serve one month in Washington during the summer, either in June or July. Interns receive a stipend of $1,000, paid at the end of the month for which they serve. The application deadline is January 5, 2001. This internship program is open to teachers, educators, and college students who will be 19 years of age or older by June 1 of the year in which they wish to serve and who are registered to vote in the 17th District.
