
ACU students to debate on presidential candidates tomorrow
For Immediate Release Oct. 9, 2000 Contact: Hailey Martin, event coordinator As presidential candidates Al Gore and George W. Bush debate who should be commander in chief, three Abilene Christian University students are preparing to do the same. Three students will represent their party's presidential candidate in a debate scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Hilton Room of the ACU Campus Center. The debaters are: Greg Farber, president of College Republicans; Jason Mida, former president of College Democrats; and Jerri Stephenson, Taylor County coordinater for the Green Party. Hailey Martin, sophomore political science major from San Antonio, is coordinating the event. Martin wants the debates to educate students about the candidates.
