Abilene Christian University physics students have known all along that their department was top-notch. Now they have proof.
The ACU physics program is in the top 25 percent of programs in the nation of its size.
According to a report issued by the American Institute of Physics, only seven out of 35 schools in Texas had more undergraduate physics graduates than ACU in 1999. Out of 762 physics programs in the nation, only 162 had more graduates than ACU. Six students majoring in physics graduated in 1999.
ACU undergraduate physics students also actively participate in experiments at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Brookhaven National Laboratory with physics professionals.
