Women's workshop to feature special luncheon

Abilene Christian University's Equipping Women for Ministry Workshop will feature a special "Honoring Sisters of Service" luncheon at noon Tuesday, July 25.
The theme of the luncheon will be "We Have this Treasure in Earthen Vessels" and will honor several Christian women who have spent years in godly service and exemplary discipleship.
The cost is $8, and the luncheon will take place in the east side of the "World Famous Bean" cafeteria in the McGlothlin Campus Center on the ACU campus.
Honorees include: Helen Akens from Clyde, Lorilla Bradley from Floydada, Maurine Perkins from Pleasanton, Mandy Pink from Abilene and Barbara Sojourner from Snyder.
The program includes a musical presentation by the ACU singing group The Light.
Tickets will be sold Sunday and Monday July 23-25 until 5 p.m. in the Campus Center. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Child care is provided but must be arranged with the childcare coordinator no later than 5 p.m Monday, July 23. The cost by childcare is $2 per child, and parents need to provide a drink and lunch for each child.
