
TAMFT names ACU professor as new president
For Immediate Release March 31, 2000 Tom Milholland, professor of marriage and family therapy at Abilene Christian University, was elected president of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Milholland has been involved with TAMFT in various capacities since 1982. He has served as editor of the newsletter, committee chair and board member. Milholland served as president-elect last year. He began his tenure as president in January and will serve for two years. After that service, he will serve the board as past president for one year. As president, Milholland intends to work on:
The national accrediting organization, AAMFT, considers the Marriage and Family Therapy program at ACU to be one of the most outstanding programs in nation. Students are admitted into the most prestigious doctoral programs and employment settings.
