ACU alumnus named editor of the San Angelo Standard-Times

Perry Flippin, a 1965 graduate of Abilene Christian Univeristy has just been named editor of the San Angelo Standard-Times, a Scripps-Howard newspaper.

Flippin has been with the Donrey Media Group for 23 years, serving as director of news services and as a writing coach from his base in Fort Smith, Ark.

Flippin was an ACU Gutenberg award winner in 1995. Gutenberg awards recognize distinguished professional achievement in alumni. Recipients must be alumni for at least 10 years and graduates of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Flippin graduated from ACU with a B.A. in journalism in 1965.
