ACU faculty, staff, students recognized for Y2K assistance

Nine Abilene Christian University faculty, staff and students were recognized by the Abilene City Council for communication assistance to the city of Abilene during Y2K weekend.

The presentation took place Thursday, Feb. 10. Mayor Grady Barr presented certificates of appreciation to the Amateur Radio Emergency service, the Key City Amateur Radio club and to various ham radio operators.

Those included from ACU are Nesa Love, ACU switchboard operator; Randy Robinson; central plant; John Anderson, retired from central plant; KentWest, technology support; Steve Sheasby, technology support; Esma Sheasby, response center; Bill Shaw, computer and network services; Druann Shaw, student, campus store; and Randy Watson, international office.
