For Immediate Release
Feb. 4, 2000
Abilene Christian University alumnus Helen Teague, MEd.,
conducted a series of presentations titled "Influencing The
Course" for Classroom Connect in Boston, Long Beach and
Houston during October, November and December.
Included in the program were 11 individualized computer
lab sessions that served to educate instructors on how to
integrate Internet resources in their classrooms to meet
specific, measurable goals.
Teague said as teachers implement new programs, this
information gives needed support.
"There is a real need to give teachers 'just-in-time'
training to help them with the myriad of tasks and
responsibilities they have," Teague said.
Teague has conducted presentations for several school
districts and education service centers across Texas, as
well as the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Business
Educators' Association, the Texas Computer Educators'
Association and the Texas Association of Gifted and
Talented.
