Helen Ellison received a Change the World Award in chapel on Nov. 19, 2001.
For 33 years, groundskeeper Helen Ellison kept ACU clean, spreading
smiles and sharing hugs wherever she went. Now retired and living at Abilene
State School, Helen was honored in Chapel Nov. 19 with the announcement of
a scholarship fund in her name. Helen dedicated her life to fulfilling the
university mission in her own special way. Her unconditional love for friends
and strangers helped change the world for those she met on campus.
