Dr. Jerry Drennan received a Change the World Award in chapel on Feb. 20, 2001.

Dr. Jerry Drennan ('59), ACU's professor emeritus of industrial technology, has made a lifelong commitment to ministering to deaf individuals. He helped bring sign language to Kenya, and makes overseas trips each summer with ACU students to teach sign language and serve as an interpreter. Drennan also works with a deaf congregation at South 11th and Willis Church of Christ. He is changing the world for deaf people in Abilene and around the globe.
