ACU Leadership Camps

KidQuest 2009

KidQuest Day Camp is designed to provide summer fun and games. Learning activities and physical challenges are child-centered, relying on interest and enthusiasm to motivate youth toward both independent and cooperative development. KidQuest campers ask and answer simple questions each day to stimulate their hearts and minds toward greater understanding of God’s love as they interact with camp staff who model the Christian lifestyle right before their eyes.

Who? . . . What? . . . Where? . . . When? . . . and Why? serve as the basis for discovery of new insights on God, one another, and the world around them. Each day includes a variety of games, creative arts, recreation, play and interaction with camp staff.

Daily Schedule at KidQuest

Wildcat Warm-Up:
This activity time prepares the kids for a day of excitement. Willy the Wildcat makes a special appearance just for the KidQuest campers as they begin their day with some of their favorite work-out moves.

Outdoor Art:
Activities vary from day to day with fun projects that coordinate with the week’s theme.

All-Camp Game:
A little athletic activity, a lot of fun. Games range from kickball to water games.

What’s Your Story?
This time helps the kids to think about their personal stories and to get to know the stories of other campers. Using themes from the week and ideas from the skit, the kids create their own books about their lives.

Swimming/Bowling:
A big hit among campers, these activities are fun for all.

What to Bring & Wear

Monday - Friday
Campers should dress comfortably (shorts and T-shirts are fine!) and wear shoes AND socks for outdoor games.

Monday - Thursday
Bring swimsuit and towel for swimming. Bring socks for bowling.

Tuesday
All campers should wear their KidQuest T-shirts for camp pictures!

Outdoor Art
Campers will be painting with washable paints. Smocks will be provided.
