Kadesh 2009
Kadesh Life Camp is designed for high school
students to experience faith with their heads and their hearts.
To do this, students are challenged to work out their faith in small group
discussions, group presentations, service projects, and exciting and unique
devotionals.
The curriculum is focused on a single theme, and each day students work in their
small groups to gain a fresh perspective applicable to their everyday lives.
Kadesh Life Camp is more than just another camp; it’s faith coming alive
in the hearts of a generation at a turning point in their spiritual journey.
Daily Schedule at Kadesh
Praise
/ Speaker:
Several different
times during the day the entire camp comes
together for praise and worship. Speakers
(often youth ministers, other volunteers,
and local friends) focus the themes for the
day through relevant talks.
Discussion
Groups:
Kadesh groups are
small groups of about 10-15 campers. The
relationships formed in these groups often
establish lifelong friendships. Group leaders
lead the campers in discussions as the campers
study the Bible about the theme for the week.
Community Service Projects:
Campers get out into the
community to do projects ranging from lawn work to
visiting daycares or nursing homes. Many local ministries
share their love and passion for reaching out to the
poor and hurting in the name of Jesus with the campers.
Group Presentations:
Before the last devo of the night, campers illustrate to the rest of the camp the daily theme or a meaningful event from their group’s experience. |
