How to Record Small Group Attendance

All sponsors and designated proctors for approved Quest spiritual formation events must complete the brief paperless attendance training provided by the Spiritual Formation/Chapel Office. This enables every sponsor to certify the attendance record for the Quest events they sponsor as needed.

Sponsors for approved Quest events are responsible for ensuring that the attendance procedures are completed on a timely basis. Failure to complete the paperless attendance procedures will result in delays and confusion among the students who attend the events.

Paperless attendance via the Quest app

The paperless attendance begins with an approved Quest event application, and includes training for the sponsor and proctor prior to the event. To be scheduled for training, sponsors should contact Jared Hodges in the Spiritual Formation/Chapel Office at 325-674-6469

Permanent card reader

If your event is located in Moody, Cullen, or Chapel on the Hill, you have access to permanent card readers to record student attendance. They are already turned on, and attendance for all approved events will be monitored. Sponsors must instruct students to "slide in" or "slide out", whichever is preferred for the event. Failure to inform students of the need to slide their cards will mean that no credit is able to be given for the event.
