Lauren is the Assistant Director of Student Advocacy and manages the SOAR program. She joined the SOAR team from Atlanta, GA and is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the state of Texas. Lauren attended the University of Georgia and received her BSFCS in Human Development and Family Studies in 2009. Lauren went on to Eastern University to obtain a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in 2012. After working as a school counselor for five years, she relocated to Abilene in 2016. Lauren enjoys connecting with students and fostering a culture of advocacy with campus partners.

Corynn Hazard attended ACU and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2018. She continued to study at ACU and completed her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology in 2019. Corynn is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the state of Texas. She is beginning her second semester with the SOAR program and also works as ACU’s Psychology Clinic Coordinator.

Lyndi Felan graduated from ACU with her bachelor's degree in Psychology, while also playing four years of softball for the university's softball program. After graduating with her undergraduate, Lyndi went on to pursue a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, while also being a graduate assistant for the ACU softball program. Lyndi is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Lyndi is moving into her sixth year with the SOAR program and strives to foster relationships with students that are meaningful, empowering, and authentic.

Shannon is the Director of Residence Life and helps oversee the work being done through SOAR. Shannon has been at ACU for 12 years, working both in Residence LIfe and Student Advocacy, and involved with the SOAR program for the past 7 years. Shannon got her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's in counseling psychology from ACU. She has a heart for students arriving at college and is passionate about getting resources into the hands of those who need them. Shannon is married with 4 children and loves to welcome students and staff into her home.
