Jackie Beth Shilcutt — jbs00c@acu.edu (Yoga)
Jackie Beth enjoys exploring movement possibilities, no matter if it is in the form of rock climbing, aerial dance, mountain yoga, partner stunting, or even freestyle walking. Jackie Beth's certifications include yoga, personal training, and group exercise. She also holds a degree in dance from the University of North Texas. Jackie Beth has spent two summers in Brazil studying Capoeira, teaching stilt workshops, and choreographing for various projects both stateside and internationally.

Lori Dow - staylorcj5@gmail.com (Cycling)
Lori is a graduate from ACU and has enjoyed fitness her whole life. She played a variety of sports from a young age all the way through college. She began rock climbing and training at Hendrick Health Club. That led her to become certified in cycling through the Les Mills program. This is her 2nd year teaching indoor cycling at ACU and she loves it. This high cardio class is great for those at any age who want to burn some calories or even train for a marathon. Come join her and give indoor cycling a try. You will fall in love with it.

Mari-Bree Lowe - mcl13b@acu.edu (Zumba)
Mari-Bree loves to dance and have fun in and outside the studio. She received her Zumba certification August 2013. Since then, she has worked at RecFest and Zumba classes here at ACU. Her love for dance comes from cheerleading at a young age. She is currently a member of ACU’s Sanctify Hip Hop Dance Company as well. She is passionate about the body, mind, and soul transformation that comes through Zumba. Each Zumba class is filled with Latin, Pop, Hip Hop and Worship music that is energetic as well as relaxing. As a fellow student, she’d love to get to know y’all. Feel free to introduce yourself before or after class or when she works the front desk of the rec.

Arthemon Sindayigaya - axs00c@acu.edu (Cycling)
Arthemon loves to help others improve their lives through training them in both running and indoor cycling. He has a degree in Exercise Science and Health from ACU. His experience comes from a career of running both cross country and participating in track and field for Abilene Christian as a student-athlete. Arthemon currently is the coach of Cool Running track team, and has in the past, served as a coach for the Abilene High School track and cross country teams. Arthemon is passionate about helping both kids and adults meet their wellness goals, and it is this passion that can be seen through his energetic teaching skills.

Clarissa Pyeatt - ccd96a@acu.edu (Yoga)​
Began practicing yoga for exercise in 2010, and quickly fell in love! Through her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Master Degree in Human Communication she seeks to share yoga to enhance the mind, body and spirit. Achieving her first yoga certification in 2011 and finishing her 200-hour RYT, Yoga Alliance Recognized Certification in 2013; she continues training towards the 500 RYT through YogaFit Worldwide Training Systems. She seeks to improve as an instructor and strives to pass on the love of yoga to all her students. Her love of teaching has led to her earning the Yoga Alliance Classification of an E-200 RYT (Experienced 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher) by completing over 1,000 hours of teaching yoga. In 2015 she received a Yoga Therapy certification, expanding her reach to cater yoga to help with specific ailments of the body.

There are so many avenues to pursue yoga - Beginning to Advanced, Kids to Seniors, Restorative to Sweat - She enjoys sharing with everyone at every level how Yoga blesses the body through improved immunity, energy, strength and calmness.

Dana believes it is important to have fun while exercising. As a mother of a 19-year-old and a 3-year-old, she can appreciate the need for a fitness plan and the obstacles that try to prevent it.  Her Water Aerobics class focuses on cardio and endurance, balance, joint mobility and strength training in a fun group environment. With over 10 years’ experience, she will help you learn how to challenge yourself and enjoy doing it.

Ruthie Swedlund — ruthie.swedlund@acu.edu (Zumba, Zumba Toning, SOAR)
Ruthie Swedlund is an ACU graduate who discovered a love for group fitness after years of struggling to develop a healthy lifestyle of her own. Creating an atmosphere of encouragement and support is a key element within all of the classes Ruthie teaches. She is certified in General Group Exercise, Cardio Kickboxing, Basic Aerobics, Zumba Basic 1, Zumba Basic 2, Zumba Toning, Zumba Step, Zumba Kids and is also a Certified Personal Trainer.
