Liz is the advisor for Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work at ACU. She is also Assistant Director of New Student Orientation. Liz grew up in west Texas but moved to Austin after high school to attend the University of Texas, where she got a B.A. in Religious Studies with a minor in Education. After a year working in AmeriCorps, Liz decided to pursue social work as a career and earned a Master's of Science in Social Work also from UT Austin in 2009. She is a licensed social worker and practiced in Austin for ten years at nonprofit organizations that worked with the homeless, mentally ill, and HIV+ populations. In 2013, Liz attend New Beginnings School of Massage Therapy and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist. After getting married and having a son, Liz and her family moved to Abilene to be closer to family. Liz loves working at ACU and getting to know students. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with her family, read, run, and eat!
