Quest for Quality Exemplary Field-Based Instructional Practices 2012
ACU's teacher education program was recognized by the Quest for Quality project (questforquality.org) for exemplary field experiences. Quest for Quality is a collaborative of the Texas Higher Education Coordination Board and the Center for Research, Evaluation and Advancement of Teacher Education.

Power On Texas Project
Ours was the only program in Texas selected by the Texas Education Agency for recognition in the Power On Texas Project. ACU was the only teacher preparation program identified by TEA that met the criteria for preparing teachers for effective use of technology as articulated in the national report, RedefiningTeacher Education for Digital Age Learners.

Center for Teaching Quality
In a 2013 national report by the Center for Teaching Quality, ACU's teacher education program was recognized among nine programs nationwide as an exemplar for quality in teacher preparation for today's classroom. Other universities included were Wheaton, Stanford and Virginia Commonwealth.

2015 TACTE Leadership Award
At the 2015 CSOTTE Conference, Dr. Dana Kennamer Pemberton, chair of the ACU Teacher Education Department, was recognized by the Texas Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (TACTE) with the 2015 TACTE Leadership Award in recognition for her leadership in teacher preparation in Texas.
