Spiritual Life at ACU

One of the most significant ways in which a student develops at ACU is spiritually. From Community Groups to Chapel to engaging our leaders in various departments, we walk with Jesus daily and celebrate His love in so many ways.

Moody Chapel

Moody Chapel is one of ACU’s longest standing traditions, representing an unwavering commitment to faith, community and service across generations. Multiple times each week, the ACU community has been dedicated to gathering to engage with Scripture and biblical themes, as well as sharing in diverse expressions of praise and worship. Moody Chapel remains a place where students, faculty and staff can grow individually while also encouraging and supporting the entire campus community.

Most weeks feature a service dedicated entirely to singing worship songs called “Praise Day Friday.” This upbeat, joyful event engages students with an opportunity to worship together as we glorify God.

Mondays in Moody

Throughout the calendar year, faculty and staff are encouraged to join students in Chapel for Mondays in Moody with a phenomenal lineup of speakers. Come enjoy the newly renovated Moody Coliseum and take time to worship and reflect with the ACU community.

Departmental Chapels

Departmental Chapels provide a meaningful time of spiritual growth and celebrating community among students, faculty and staff within various majors. Departmental Chapels often focus on how students can engage their faith within the context of their future career and are a great opportunity to get to know other people within your major.

Small Group Chapels

Small Group Chapels are unique meetings built around shared interests with the primary purpose of spiritual formation. Students are able to create Small Group Chapels around their faith denominations, social clubs, residence halls, arts and culture, social justice causes, and many other interests.

Small Group Chapels provide a great opportunity for like-minded Christians to form deep relationships. The proximity afforded by these small groups encourages students to build empathy for each other as they study Scripture, pray together, and share one another’s burdens in an intimate setting.
