Tim Bright graduated from ACU in 1983 and is one of the most-decorated track and field athletes in ACU history. He won the NCAA Division II decathlon in 1983, competing for ACU in 1981 and 1983.
Bright competed in the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Olympic games as both a decathlete and a pole vaulter. He was 12th in the decathlon in Los Angeles in 1982, seventh in the decathlon in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, and 12th in the pole vault in Barcelona in 1992.
Bright was named to the ACU Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
