Steven Moore

Steven Moore came to ACU in the fall semester of 2000 as an assistant professor in the English department.  He currently teaches Composition and Rhetoric, Composition and Literature, American Literature II, and Major British Wirters II.   During his time at ACU, Moore has become extremely active on campus in ways such as leading worship in Chapel and acting as master of ceremonies for ACU's senior dinner.  He was honored as ACU's Teacher of the Year in 2004 and served as the speaker for May 2005 Commencement. 

Moore earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, his master's degree from the University of Nebraska and is currently completing his doctoral dissertation entitled "The Cry of Black Rage" also at the University of Nebraska. He has become popular with students across campus for his traveling classroom, enthusiasm for English and his students as well as his servant leadership and Chapel Praise Days.  Moore is an active member of Highland Church of Christ where he frequently speaks and leads worship.
