Jeanette Lipford

Jeannette Scruggs Lipford received a bachelor's degree in voice and piano from ACU in 1949 and later a master's degree in drama.

She began her ACU career as a voice instructor and was later promoted to assistant professor in the music department.

Lipford coordinated Summerstage for many years, and she served as faculty advisor for summer productions of Students on Stage/Company 1.  In addition, she served as vocal coach for the annual Homecoming musicals and for the Sing Song hosts and hostesses.  She was also a vocal coach for the ACU singing groups Daybreak and Reflections.

Lipford and her husband, Harold ('50), have three daughters: Susan ('77), Cindy Hudson ('76) and Amy Haynes ('80).
