Dr. Carl Brecheen, professor of Bible, ministry and missions, directed ACU’s Bible Teacher’s Workshop and Lectureship and teamed with Dr. Paul Faulkner to begin the highly popular Marriage Enrichment Seminar.
Brecheen joined the Abilene Christian College faculty in 1961 and was named Teacher of the Year in 1970. In 1974, he and Dr. Paul Faulkner began the Marriage Enrichment Seminar, an intensive 12-hour program designed to enrich, strength and vitalize the marriage relationship. The seminar has since been filmed for distribution.
In 2001, Dr. Brecheen and his wife were the recipients of ACU’s Christian Service Award.
