Office Building or White House

 (1927-28 - 1931)

Tool House

 (1931 - 1938)

Tool House

The first building built on the new campus was a wood frame office building probably no more than 10' x 10' at a cost of $161.20.  It was erected sometime between September 5, 1927 and February 18, 1928.  The board of trustees used it as a shelter for those who would stay on the grounds and show prospective purchasers around.  In a 1932 aerial photograph, it is shown slightly northwest of Bennett Gymnasium.

1931

At a meeting of the local board of trustees on January 26, 1931, the board allowed the school to "use the white house, now located near Gymnasium, as a tool house free of charge."

1938

In later aerial photographs, the tool house is no longer visible.  In October 1938 when the utility building was built, the tool house may have been torn down.
