 (1929 - unknown)

This park area has been alternately referred to as A. C. C. Park, "A" and "W" Park and "A" and "W" Club Park.  The "A" Club and "W" Club references reflect the fund-raising and labor contributed to the park by those two clubs.

Both clubs in 1928 pledged $200 each for improvements at the park.  They planned several events to raise the money.

The park was along Cedar Creek south of College Drive where the golf course and Sherrod Residential Park are now located.  Even before the move to the new campus, classes and clubs were having picnics at the new park.

According to Don H. Morris' book, "Like Stars Shining Brightly," the foundation stones from the original Administration Building were hauled out to the park and were being used in 1953 for fireplaces and picnic benches.  At this time, none of these stones have been located.
