Track Field
A scrapped dirt track was constructed east of Bennett Gymnasium some time before March 27, 1930. A football practice field was in the center of the track.
Tennis Courts
On November 29, 1929 the students in Chapel pledged $250 toward construction of a concrete tennis court. This was in response to a Chapel speech by tennis coach Dalton Hill.
In the March 27, 1930 issue of The Optimist, two new concrete tennis courts were being rushed to completion. The courts were 100 feet long, and the concrete had black paint mixed with it so that the tennis balls could be seen. By April 3, 1930 the courts were nearly finished, the backstops were up and fences on the sides were finished.
Croquet Courts
In the April 27, 1933 issue of The Optimist, two croquet courts were being prepared east of the Zellner Hall, beyond one of the college’s rose gardens.
Golf Course
During Chapel on October 3, 1933 the “A” Club announced the start of a campaign for a golf course in the A. C. C. Park. To finance the course, the "A" Club planned to sell 500 tickets for 25¢ each to the students. By October 19, 1933, the students had bought $90.50 worth of tickets.
Work began with volunteer student labor on the course on October 25, 1933 under the supervision of the "A" Club. The course had been laid out by Bobby Byrnes, local golf professional. By December 7, 1933, four fairways had been completed with two more under construction.
