A City Set on a Hill


 The 75th Anniversary of the Great Move

This exhibition examines the move of then Abilene Christian College from its original campus on North 1st Street to the current campus on "The Hill."  This exhibition commemorates the 75th anniversary of the move and the beginning of classes on the new campus.

This aerial view of the new campus after the move shows the original buildings circa 1929.  Bennett Gymnasium (center top) is under construction. The photograph also shows the G.L. Jennings house on the corner of Campus Court and East North 16th Street; the A. C. C. Tailors building at 1634 Campus Court; the barber shop, A. C. C. Drug Store and A. C. C.
